Or it could be simply that feet are often in sight when sex is imminent, legs lifted, thus the correlation in the brain between arousal and feet.

The Art of Indulging

Whatever the reason, it can be fun to indulge a foot fetish by taking care of your feet and wearing sexy shoes, or get your nipple pierced because you want to and it turns on your lover. Indulging a sexual fetish can be empowering and extremely sexy.

However, if you begin to feel left out of a person-to-object romance between, say, your lover and your shoe, then communication is key. Your fetishizing partner needs to acknowledge your needs too, and understand that human intimacy is something different from sexual arousal from an object.
